Xerox printers and MFPs

What Xerox says [A]
- Affected: Scan to Email, Internet Fax (send, select older models), Fax Forward to Email, Auto Email Notification, error notification by email.
- Xerox is releasing firmware for OAuth 2.0 in two flavours: Device Code Flow (most printers/MFPs, one shared personal account) and Client Credentials Flow (ConnectKey devices; fleet use, centrally managed, multiple system accounts for departments).
- "No hardware upgrades are required." Models marked "Available Now" in Xerox's table: download firmware from support.xerox.com and follow Xerox's configuration guides.
- Some models in the table (e.g. B305/B310/B315) show "Not Available" for one flow in what we could read. Check the live table for your model; our fetch of the table was partial.
Note on dates
Xerox writes that Microsoft "will permanently disable Basic Authentication for SMTP AUTH" beginning December 2026. Microsoft's own Jan 27 2026 post says it will be disabled by default for existing tenants at the end of December 2026, administrators can still enable it, and the final removal date is to be announced in the second half of 2027 [V: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/blog/exchange/updated-exchange-online-smtp-auth-basic-authentication-deprecation-timeline/4489835]. Plan to the Microsoft wording, and treat vendor summaries as sales-adjacent.
